Disinter

Does anyone else read approximately 72 books at the same time? I’ve been reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (which I LOVE! I love all of the paradigm work he encourages), Born to Run (also LOVE, as it makes me enthusiastic about lacing up and running around while grinning like a madman), and The Alchemist (only 25 pages in…but I already know I love this one).

(Ok, 72 was a bit of an overestimate…)

There are so many other books I have on my “to-read” shelf, and I never think about relaxing with one. In my subconscious mind, I think I’ll binge-read if I even let myself get started. But you know what? I think I might try reading every night, just for pleasure. Because it will probably be a lot harder to do that once in med school and beyond. And this will help me work on my self-discipline by forcing myself to stop after a little while.

Anyways, I came across the word “disinter” while reading The Alchemist last night, and had no clue what it meant. I remembered in randomly this morning and looked it up:
disinter: v to dig up something that has been buried, esp a corpse

I miss those days in high school literature, where we were forced to learn 20 new words every few weeks…I love words!
